Other Works

This is Neela Cole. She's a sophomore, multimedia journalism student from Huntsville, Alabama. Neela is very active in the student media on Troy University's campus and that includes TROY TrojanVision News, The Tropolitan, and the university's Palladium.

I took the time to interview her about her time in student media and why she thinks it's important for herself, and others, to join campus organizations.

*The questions I asked Neela were generated by ChatGPT; for the purposes of an assignment.*

Here, I give you a look at what goes into producing a nightly newscast for TROY Trojanvision News. At Trojanvision students gets the privilege to report on big state news where, most of the time, that information comes from AL.com. To cover national news, students use wired sources like CNN Newsource and CBS Newspath. After that, it's all in the editing. To send stories and make graphics, students use an editing software called Edius and send them to the server for production to use them.

Without production, there wouldn't be a newscast up on air for people to watch at home. A lot goes into putting up the things people see on TV at home. One student, Jordan Chambers, has a website that displays not only her own production work, but also what type of work goes into putting on a TROY TrojanVision News newscast.

I'd love to hear from you.
